Past Environmental Law Workshop on Land Use and Global Warming Law

Presented by ELS in conjunction with the Angeles Chapter of the Sierra Club. For each workshop there is a page of resources online, with audio recordings and copies of the presentation slides and handouts.

ELS will sponsor another similar workshop during the 2009-2010 school year. Please send any copic suggestions to Dean Wallraff.

Practical Environmental Law Experience

An active environmental attorney with offices near Loyola Law School needs volunteer help with cases. If you are willing to work 5 hours per week or more pro bono, between mid-January and the end of April, you can get practical experience in environmental law. If you're interested, email Dean Wallraff, who is coordinating this project. If you're a 2L or 3L, externship credit can be arranged. Alternatively, if you're a 2L, the work can count toward your 40-hour pro bono requirement.

Other Local Environmental Law Societies

It might be worthwhile to set up a Association of Greater Los Angeles Environmental Law Societies (AGLAELS). The purpose would be to encourage networking and connections among the memberships of the ELSs, and to maintain a common listing of environmental-law events.
